The project "Reviu Solanell" an abandoned village in the municipality of Montferrer i Castellbò, began to take shape about ten years ago when an architect and promoter of the project, Saul Garreta, was buying houses with the intention of returning life the people. In those years, Garreta has managed to return to Solanell light and water and also has provided internet connection. Together also minimally adequate access road from Castellbò.

If the economic model should be different from traditional access to housing as well. The aim of Garreta and the rest is up to rebuild 30 houses where they can live about 150 people. "We want to create an efficient model and begin to build more dwellings that were initially not generate speculation" he argues. It is intended that the housing model, which is being developed by the chair of housing of the Rovira i Virgili University, is based on a model of cohousing where people share property and pay a variable fee based on the days pass in the town, without having to pay any rent or any mortgage.
